Personal Bio
Tory Sailer is an Associate Attorney with Gregerson, Rosow, Johnson & Nilan, Ltd., practicing in the areas of municipal prosecution and other areas of civil and criminal law.
Mr. Sailer has been involved in public service for the entirety of his professional career. Mr. Sailer has served as a law enforcement officer for a small community in West Central Wisconsin, where he worked with victims of crimes, conducted community-oriented policing, and conducted criminal investigations. After serving as a police officer, Mr. Sailer gained his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and was commissioned into the United States Army as a Field Artillery Officer. As an Army officer, Mr. Sailer worked closely with soldiers, their families, and various stakeholders throughout the military. During his deployment to Kunar, Afghanistan in 2012, Mr. Sailer conducted various operational tasks including serving as a battalion pay agent. In this role, Mr. Sailer worked closely with field grade and general officers and local governments to ensure communities were receiving adequate water, schooling, and various other municipal services. Mr. Sailer received a Purple Heart during his deployment and upon return from overseas duty was medically retired from the Army.
Upon retirement, Mr. Sailer pursued his law degree and was licensed in the State of Minnesota in 2018. Mr. Sailer served as a Rule 1 Student Attorney for the Minnesota Public Defenders Officer for nearly 2 years. In this roll Mr. Sailer represented criminal defendants up to and including trials. During this time Mr. Sailer volunteered over 1000 hours of free legal advice to clients throughout the South Metro communities. After working with the Public Defenders’ Office, Mr. Sailer worked with the Department of Veteran Affairs on the Committee on Waivers and Compromises. In this roll, Mr. Sailer worked on a committee that would review requests to waive federal debts. At the conclusion of his service with the VA, Mr. Sailer became an Assistant County Attorney. As an Assistant County Attorney, Mr. Sailer prosecuted various criminal matters to include serious felonies. As an Associate Attorney with Gregerson, Rosow, Nilan, and Johnson, Mr. Sailer continues his service to the community by representing the City of Eden Prairie in criminal prosecution, working to build good relationships with the community and its law enforcement and provide excellent customer service to our clients. Mr. Sailer also received his L.L.M. in Taxation from Washington University.
In his spare time, Mr. Sailer enjoys fishing with his family, going on family road trips, and volunteering with the Minnesota Support of the Guard and Reserve. As a new father and Veteran, Mr. Sailer takes special interests in programs that help children and Veterans experience the outdoors.
